AN UNUSUAL FIRE OF AN ADVERTISING POLE
As we arrived to the site of the fire we established
that we were dealing with a fire of an advertising
pole. However, after a thorough examination we found
that the source of the fire was in a well of some
sort – a tunnel 5 meters deep and a few meters wide
(within the “tunnel”).
Within the advertising pole is a “well” about 5
meters deep and a “tunnel” leading to a nearby
building.
Professional firemen equipped with self contained
breathing
apparatus and gas masks descended into the extremely
narrow “well”. The fire was extinguished using the
foam from the high pressure hose reel on the attack
vehicle. There was no major damage, and the fire was
prevented from expanding through the tunnel to the
nearby building. The unusual “well-tunnel” is most
probably used for ventilating the building.
