A BOAT FIRE
At 14:40 on April 3rd 2005 a boat was
reported to have caught on fire on the river Sava.
This kind of an intervention is unusual for the City
of Zagreb since Sava is not navigable. The boat that
caught on fire was a stranded tanker on the right
bank of river Sava just across the City’s heating
plant. Two square meters of plastic and trash caught
fire on the deck of the ship. During the
intervention we discovered a person who had been
living on the ship for the past two years. The fire
was extinguished with a water from the attack
vehicle (410) while the truck tank (441) and
the command vehicle (104) were also present at the
intervention.
